I just upgraded my cpu, mobo, and ram. Everything was fine at first and then it just shut down out of nowhere. It would try to boot again right away and then fail but some of the rgb will stay on. If I turn the psu off and on it would do the same where it tries to boot for a second then shuts off but some rgb stays on. At first I thought it the 8 pin cable because when I unplugged that it would actually try to post every time. So I swapped out that cable and it booted. Then about 10 min later it shut down, I was able to get it turn back on by pulling the 8 pin down a little and thought maybe the 8 pin connector isn't attached correctly but now that fix isnt even working. Is it my psu? Could it be a short somewhere on the board?

That sounds an awful lot like an issue with the PSU.

By shut down do you mean it just switches off or does the windows shut down screen display?

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.
