Windows 7 Update issue

Go to solution Solved by Molesy,

found a fix. have to run the windows update readiness tool. which identified some corrupted registries. once those were deleted the turn on/off windows feature panel was working again and after a reboot was able to update IE8 to IE11 and all the other updates also installed without any issues. PC is running much faster as well now.

followed this and it worked for me:

Hey guys,

Have a PC here running win 7 pro pre installed from Dell. I have been able to install all windows update except 3.

KB3124275 Security update for IE8

IE11

KB2706045 Security update for Win7

I have run the windows update diagnostic tools and also reset the windows update module. as well. but even after that it still fails.

I downloaded the updates manually and tried to run them. This also still fails.

Any idea what i can do to fix it. i know i had this kind of issue long time back but dont recall how i fixed it back then.

Thanks
