memory Can't enable xmp

hey, so I recently realised that my pc's ram has been running on 2133mhz instead of the 3000 advertised when I bought it, so I checked my ram settings in bios and found out  xmp was disabled. I enable it, then reboot and get the error on the image (sorry for shit quality). CPU is it 6500, ram is a Corsair kit with a gigabyte z170 board. Any thoughts?

seems like a unstable oc... what happens if you clock it at 2800 or 2666?

I can't touch the clock speed at either profile

that's weird... I'm not familiar with gigabyte bioses at all, so wait here for someone that does, or ask gigabyte about it

Have you done any OCing on this board?  Ram settings should be adjustable, just like the CPU freq and voltage, with the + and - keys.

apart from that time I oc'ed my monitor, no

Have look here.  He does so RAM OC with GIG bios.

ah, I didn't understand how the gui worked, my bad. 2666mhz @1.35V seems stable, 2800 got same error

Don't be afraid to up to 1.4 or higher if it gives you the speed you are looking for.  DDR4 can take it.
