VR on EGPU

Is there any reason that it will not work ? I want to plug in 1080TI on think pad P51 serowa laptop via thunderbolt or expresscard adapter. I would like to run Elite Dangures on High resolution VR. Pmax 5K or 8K ?

 

Do you have any experiance with that ?

it has some latency, but in theory it should work... are you sure you're switched to the egpu?

Right now it’s a planing stage. Any sugestion about what kind of equipment will be mutch appreciated. Will it be better to run it via thunderbolt or expresscard ? Will 1080Ti will be strong enough to run duble 4K VR headset ?
