If I buy a mechanical keyboard, can I choose any different brands of key cap and put on the mechanical keyboard

Not necessarily, no. There's no standard size and shape for keycaps, so the distance between switches varies brand to brand. It wouldn't be hard to order keys that simply don't fit.

Depends on the keyboard. Most mechanical keyboards that use the standard Cherry MX stem or BOX stem* can take most aftermarket keycap set. Some notable outliers are are Corsair and Razer keyboards. Source: http://www.maxkeyboard.com/mechanical-keycap-layout-and-size-chart.html

 

*Old stock BOX stems break keycaps due to tolerance issues.

Typically, USB-C keyboards connect the USB-C end to the keyboard and the USB-A end to your computer.

Yes and no

There is the common standard "Cherry MX Stem" which is found on all the cherry mx switches and most of the Chinese cherry clone switches (which I find to be nicer and smoother for a switch)
You have romer G from, ALPS, Cherry/Kailh ML, and finally Topre
These are all the more common and "mainstream" mechanical switches on the market.

Now you run into sizing for the bottom row and weather its an ISO or an ANSI layout as well.

mount wise you can, but if its a cherry profile it maybe lower than the other R0 keycaps, iirc the blackwidow uses oem profile which is taller than gmk and cherry profile.
