I currently run several servers in a data center that are nearing end-of-life.  I'm kind of thinking of putting together something a little more portable than rack-mount boxes - that can be staged in one place - basically shoebox servers that can be staged in one location, then shipped somewhere else; and also used in a small office environment as local servers in a distributed network.  Or perhaps used as in an ad-hoc tactical deployment - say to support a network stood-up to support emergency response (data center in a shipping case).

I'm wondering if anybody has put together a high-reliability NUC-based server in a small chassis - a couple of power supplies, a bunch of disks, and a bunch of NUC boards, some for storage handling, some as essentially blade servers.  If so, can you share your configuration?

Thanks very much,
