Free-sync used to work fine. I could clearly see the difference with AMD_FreeSync_Demo_0_9_1_setup

but I don't think it's working anymore ever since I used DDU and installed the latest non optional driver from AMD Radeon Software Version
19.1.1 Adrenaline. I get horrible stuttering in the demo. Games are more fine but still something is amiss and I have trouble aiming. If it doesn't work in the demo, maybe it also doesn't work in games, and it looks like its the case.

I tried the gsync one, it doesn't stutter as much but I'm 95% sure free sync isn't working correctly as I see stuttering and tearing, in reduced amount sbut still and turning free sync on and off doesn't make a difference.

Does anyone have a better test pattern software?

uh... he has a freesync monitor with amd gpu. vsync has nothing to do here.

Edit: he has a Nvidia GPU, my bad (just checked his profile). So he's probably trying adaptive sync to get working on a Freesync monitor which Nvidia recently started supporting.

I have an rx 580 in ym signature
