i3 3210,r9 290,6gb ram or should i stick to lga775 mobo and put a xeon e5450 if i go with lga 775 i save money and can buy other stuff like an ssd

What's your budget and what country are you in?

I'd recommend a Xeon X5650 and an X58 motherboard instead of LGA775/i3. 

If you already have an LGA775 mobo then it'll be fine, but I would definitely recommend X58 if you have the choice.
