Cpu overclock and monitor choice

Hi, since i've got a brand new gpu (2080 ti yay) i was wondering if i would be able to overclock the heck of my cpu (5ghz) and wanted to get a 1440p 144hz monitor.

For the cpu, it is a 7700k non delided, and the cooler is thermaltake floe riing 360 aio

The monitors i've looked at are:

1.) Viewsonic XG2703-GS (30-165hz Nvidia G-Sync)

2.) AOC AG271QG (30-144hz Nvidia G-Sync) and non gsync one since recent nvidia freesync support

3.) Acer XB271HU (30-165hz Nvidia G-Sync)

4.) Asus Rog Swift Pg279q (165hz G-sync)

So, any recommendations to the monitor, and for overclock, is it doable with a 360mm aio?, Also dont recommend any pixio or viotek monitors as im well aware of these being cheaper but... Europe is europe

Take a look at the 31.5/32 inch high refresh 1440p monitors, for 5ghz you may need a delid, you need to set a voltage of 1.25 - 1.35 (depending on cpu), also you need to use loadline calibration.

Nha i will need 1.4 v or more as im at 4.8 1.35 with the maximum llc to pass prime 95 avx 2 (ik ik its unrealistic load but if that works the rest will too)

Maximus formula viii z170 from asus, temps stay at 84 c with case fans completely off and radiator fans at, silent mode, at prime 95 max heat 0 avx offset

I know, I'm from the EU too, not to mention from one of the countries with the highest prices of IT equipment in the EU.

Isn't lcc supposed to be good, ik it is overshooting, at full i get 1.36 vcore , i also manually set pll oc as the auto was going completely nuts at it, as far as i know that crap is the imc and as long as you dont have 4000 ram you don't need much, have it at 1.15v (lower wont work with 3333mhz ram)

I'm not so sure about the monitor. Sadly, I can't help at the moment. I'll be looking for a 1440p 27" 144Hz FreeSync later this year or early next year.

As for the CPU OC, having a 360 AIO is quite nice, but I'd still recommend de-lidding it, or at least lapping it. The 7700K might be a bottleneck to the 2080Ti in some games if not using something wild like 4K 60+ Hz.

Oh trust me i would like to have a 9900k but money won't do for rtx 2080 ti AND i9 hah, thats why i want heavy oc, die lapping is extremely dangerous btw, and if u mean ihs lapping, nha rather delid but i cant find decent delid tools for sale here, and no, not paying 90€ for an automated one bcz im not a delider shop

I meant IHS lapping, right. Die lapping is a lot riskier than delidding alone, not to mention ihs lapping.

One can delid without delid tools (all you actually need is a decent vice), but it's a bit risky. Linus did it a few times without dropping an $xxxx CPU so it should be possible to most people. XD

Vice is extremely risky as lake series pcb is considerably thinner than previous gens, and its likely to bend or break, that+i don't have a "decent" vice, my one is more, 1 metter metal part than 4 cm so won't work, nha just need to 3d print one once i figure out how to use the dammn printer lol

Lapping the IHS would highly likely lover the temps enough to prevent throttling and/or extend the OC range. It's also the easiest to do and probably noticeably better than doing nothing. Also, even if you delid after that, it won't harm the temperatures.

If your CPU is still under warranty, do not lap or delid.
