The PC Draft video idea

CajunWhy

THE PC DRAFT

Since scrapyard may have run its course it is time for THE PC DRAFT. Like in professional sports where they have drafts for rookie players LTT will do it with a PC twist. The catch is there will only be a limited amount of information to go on (like in the NFL you never know who will make it). For example, round one will be for CPUs but you only get the manufacture and the amount of cores so say on the draft board is a AMD 8 core CPU and somebody drafts that CPU thinking it could be a Ryzen 2700x but it turns out to be a FX-8300 series CPU. For RAM the only information you get is maybe the voltage, CL timing and the manufacturer so somebody can choose something they think is good and only get 2400 MHz RAM while another person gets that sweet 3600 MHz RAM. Do the same thing for the Motherboard only give them a limited amount of information but nothing that will give it away too easy like Z from a Z390 board. For video card give them the manufacturer and maybe the base clock speed (person might think they are getting a 1080ti but get a 960) for the power supply just give them the manufacturer and the last two numbers of the wattage (for example 50 and they think they are getting a 750 wattage PSU but only get a 550). Now for the hard drive you could go with both SSD and HDD draft options or just give everyone the same drive.

Does anybody think this would be an interesting idea?

Na. After the initial divvying out of the parts, everyone would already know who would win. There would be no suspense.

Why not just throw all the parts in to a kiddy pool filled with mineral oil and make Dennis and Colton fight over who gets what parts.
