Hi guys!
I just wanted to know your opinion on the VRAM of the rtx 2060: Are 6 GB enough? will the RTX 2060 be powerful enough to provide playable performance in the next 3 years or more?

Watch this video. The difference is minor a 10-20% difference in a few titles.

It depends on the resolution of your screen.

1080p or less? Sure.

1440p or more? Nope.

Not entirely true.
1440p depends on the game.

For the next 3 years?

And depends on the game is not enough if you want something that can perform across the board.

Cause I was wondering if it was worth the money. I was looking for a gtx1070(450/500 euros) or a gtx1070ti(500/600 euros) but they're too expensive in my country so i tried to see a gtx1060(250/300 euros) or rx580(250/300 euros) so much cheaper but i was worried for the next gen games and maybe for a future upgrade to 1440p. And this rtx 2060(350/375 euros) card is right in the middle: it's cheaper than a 1070/ti but can have good performances on 1440p"ish" and for the next generation games. what you think? you have alternatives for the 2060 that can be placed between 1080p and 1440p?

I am also caught in-between RTX 2060 and 1070 Ti, but then I can't decide which of them, because of the VRAM issue that has been a big fuss lately, combating the present games and future games, the VRAM consumption, sigh. Afaik, 1440 needs a little more VRAM and they say RTX 2060 is just for 1080p. #Confused

My 2060 beats the 1070TI in every benchmark. 1070TI imo just doesnt make sense when you can get the 2060 for less or at the same price. Im currently bottlenecked by my CPU Ryzen 1500x which im going to upgrade at 3rd gen. Btw i purchased the Gigabyte RTX 2060 Aorus Xtreme for 450 euros.

It is a 1080p Ultra settings card and 1440p High. Only in games where FPS above 60 really doesnt matter as long as its smooth and good looking. As the video above shows only in titles like Resident Evil 2 and Tombraider are you going to have Vram issues, and Maybe also in The Division 2, really not games where 144/240hz is going to make a difference.

@Koxicain so RTX 2060 gives you a hard time when playing games that requires more than 6GB VRAM as mentioned games above?

Not a hard time. a Drop of 10-20 % for the lowest fps. You would still have an average higher than 60.
Im happy with my 2060 and have compared it to the 1070 TI since i received mine and i just destroy the 1070 TI.  Just a quick comparison on this forum.
