Skyrim together compatibility

So as the mod 'Skyrim Together' Nears its release, some concerns are rising up, as there is like 20 different versions of Skyrim.

 

I have the 'Oldrim"(2011) version, and i was wondering if anyone had tested to see if it's compatible with my friend who only has the SE, 

 

I don't want to buy Skyrim for the 4th time lol, (Skyrim, Skyrim VR, and Skyrim on the 360)
