So i wanted to play a little bit of fortnite on my new build pc. After few seconds in the loading screen my screen just turned white. No response what so ever from the pc so i had to do a hard shut down.

I Dont know what caused it, cpu never gets over 50°C and gpu Never over 60°....

Im running a Radeon RX570 4gb and it has a 8 and 6 pin connector, but only the 8 pin is plugged in. I watched a video before buying the card, and the guy said that the one pin is enough if you don’t overclock (i didnt overclock). Maybe this caused it idk, does my gpu get enough power ? Latest drivers are installed...

Specs:

I7 8700

16 gb ddr4 3000 mhz

Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X

Sapphire RX570 Nitro + 4gb

450 watt Be Quiet Straight Power 11

Do you guys maybe know what happened?? I just build my pc few days ago... hopefully everything is okay!

Seems like a RX 570 can use 225W when gaming, which is the max that one 8 pin PCIe and one PCIe slot can provide altogether. Was your GPU overclocked?

If you didn't plug in the "additional" 6 pin connector and you pulled over ~225W, it's very likely that your card is gone for good.

Use both power connectors. Graphics cards are designed to run with a designated amount of power, even without overclocks, and gaming puts a lot of stress on the core and memory.
