Right know I have an Asus K55N laptop with a trinity A8-4500m apu and 8 Gb of ram. Right know its clock speed hovers at 1.9-2.1 Ghz, is there any way to boost that to something reasonable. By the way at max load it only reaches up to 65 degrees Celsius and I only want to push it as far as 75 degrees Celsius. Thank for any suggestions i happily appreciate it.

Why do you want to overclock your laptop?

Overclocking your laptop isn't very common and sort of seen and a no no. For one heat, laptops don't have very good cooling. If you were able to overclock your laptop the running temps would probably increase dramatically, causing risk of hardware damage Two laptops don't usually have bios features that allow you to adjust the settings. Three some laptops can be overclocked using applications, through windows. But that isn't the best way to overclock your hardware let alone a laptops. My advise is to just leave it. If you want more performance buy a new laptop/desktop.

Thank you ive been searching the web for a while and some people said to do it while others heavily disagreed. I was just trying to squeeze the most performance out of my machine. I started out by buying a corsair vengeance 4 Gb 1600 Mhz ram. it gave it a significant boost in overall performance. Thanks for the advise
