I have embarked on my first full build and I've run into a real problem. My PC will randomly freeze up. Complete lockup and I have to hold the power button to shut down. I have a z390 Aorus Pro Wifi mobo, i7 9700k, 8 gb ballistix ddr4 2400 mhz ram. Thermaltake Toughpower 750 watt psu. Crucial P1 1tb NVME SSD. the ram is just a placeholder until my Vengeance RGB Pro sticks come in. The freezes tend to happen more often when switching programs or trying to install something. But they happen at other random times when I'm typing etc. For example when i was installing GeForce experience it froze mid install. Any help is appreciated.

For now I would wait for your RAM to arrive. I would try to solve the issue once I got all my components since we cant say for sure, that the current RAM isn't at fault. But until then you should run a synthetic benchmark and check your temps during the run. Check your voltages if you have OC'ed or undervolted.
