Good day forum. So recently I upgraded my GPU to an Asus Dual series OC GTX 1070. At the same time I upgraded my PSU to an ANTEC EAG550 80plus gold 550W psu. Since upgrading when I play games (any games) the game will freeze. At this moment I monitored GPU usage and it drops to 0% usage while the game freezes for about 10 seconds then all of a sudden jumps back and everything is back to normal. I tried updating GPU drivers, MOBO drivers, repairing games. What else could be the issue here? I never had this problem before when I had a gtx 970. The rest of my system specs are as follows:

- Intel i7 4790

- 16gb hyper x ddr3 ram

- asrock z97 anniversary

- kingston a400 480gb SSD

- seagate 3tb HDD

- windows 10 64 bit

Any help is appreciated, thanks forum

I would try the old PSU to rule that out as it is the only other thing you upgraded. That is such a strange issue.

i already sold it but a friend of mine has a different PSU and his 1070 runs fine so Ill pop it in his PC and see if thats the issue.
