Hello! It's me again with another stupid question.

So for my next upgrade I'm gonna do the ram for my R5 2600x. I've heard that AMD CPUs like fast RAM, so that's what I'm going for. Now, I'm already stuck with what ram to choose. I'm looking for 2x8gb DDR4 with around 3000MHz and CL15 CAS latency that's also on this list: (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450M-DS3H-rev-10#support-dl pinnacle ridge -> Europe). Preferably non-rgb. I found some 3000MHz CL15 RAM from Corsair and Kingston and such but I don't actually know which ones are best. I've also heard you need to overclock the ram to have it work at advertised speeds. So if there's anyone who would like to help me walk through that process (when I actually have the ram) on Discord, please add me on there. (FatMax1492#5182)

Massive thanks in advance!

The current problem going on is if you want fast RAM, you will have to sacrifice slot banks on your motherboard and leave them empty.

This will reference what the chip supports

That's not really what I was asking for. I'm only looking for two sticks. Doesn't matter if that leaves some slots unused. 32 GB is overkill for gaming anyways

I just want to know what ram out of that list is best to use. 2x8gb DDR4-300OMHz is what I'm looking for. And also someone who could assist me during overclocking

It depends on the game and if running 1440p or 4k, you will benefit greatly.   2019 we will be be seeing big changes and requirements.  It's going to cost you $$$ but will be worth it (32GB) if you plant on keeping the system 2 years or so
