Hello,

first of, my english is really bad but try to understand.

I got a 1070 from Strix to christmas and everything worked and stuff..

But until Wednesday, I am getting weird framedrops to 17 or even 3 fps in GTA V on Settings between Ultra and High

maximum fps are between 55-70 and also in Destiny 2, 190-90fps but then, 20 fps for 3 seconds and then everything is good again...

I am playing on Full-HD with a Ryzen 1600X. Windows Settings are optimized.

What I haven't checked is Bottlenecks for some reasons and RAM usage because I only got 8GB... Also I want to check the GPU and

CPU clock under load, but in idle I got 4017Mhz on all cores stable.

Is this normal, or a driver issue or something? I did a Geforce Experience Driver Update recently so that could be the problem even if that would be weird.

then you'd better start by checking RAM usage. GTA 5 was RAM heavy back in the day

Yeah I already thought about that... last time I checked, it was about 7.9 so close to max

then that's your problem. Method that spends money is to upgrade memory (add more sticks, hopefully), way that doesnt is to close off background apps (so run the game only)

That is probably what is causing it. I would get a second stick and OC them.

well, in Destiny 2, I got 6GB RAM usage and 9 fps, so I don't know... I will get a second stick anyway, maybe even sell my current RAM and get new RGB RAM

well I only got 6GB RAM usage in Destiny 2 and 9 fps so I don't know. But a second stick will be coming soon anyway, maybe even two rgb ram sticks but let's see

  • 2 weeks later...

Okay, with the new drivers update from Nvidia it pretty much fixed the lags. But now there is an problem, with I already know what the problem is (I think). In Forza Horizon 3 and 4 Demo it is lagging and stuttering just randomly. It drops in the mid 10 fps. Even at lower than 720p! Just by googeling and looking at my task manager, I've found out that my Hard drive, where both of the games are stored, is the problem. So now, I don't know what to do. Do I really need to buy a new HDD, or can I disable loading from time to time or something? Are there any tips and suggestions to give me?

I have an 7200rpm Hard drive from Seagate, it seems to be a older model so that can be a problem.

Thanks for helping me so far
