Rather than digging deep on ebay for unknown hardware viability....reach out to the community.  Post a spec sheet of what you want to build, pick the parts, and we can just send you stuff we have lying around.  If people are like me, I have years upon years of old hardware that I just don't throw away (you want a Windows 95 P90? 486? Windows ME Gateway disaster?).  Vet it with pictures or however you want.  $15 for us to ship to you will probably save in the end.

 

Just a thought, might save you a few bob, and throw us a shirt or something if you want our gear and get some dusty gear off the shelf.
