Hi, im kinda new to led strips,

so, i have IN WIN A1 case, im planning to change the rgb led strip to the adressable one.

then i bought 5m ws2812 and tried to light it up with cooler master argb controller that come with ML120R since my its powered using sata and my mobo doesnt have any RGB header.

but then only 48 leds that on.

in this case, is the sata only able to power 48 leds ? or it just the controller limited to 48leds ?

That would depend on the controller and the controller itself is probably not capable of powering 5M of LED strip due to the high amperage required at 5V. As for wiring it you will need to test the pinout to find the correct connections, 5V ground, and data. Just note that controller has a very limited number of preset patterns so it won't be able to do a lot of the fancy effects that custom programmable controllers can.
