My USB drive died

Hi, guys. I have a 8gb USB drive. I used it to install windows 10 on PCs. But recently I discovered that the pc won’t boot from it, so I plugged it into my laptop. I was informed that the USB has a problem and has to be formatted. So I right clicked on it and selected format, but it could not be formatted. Can somebody help me?
