Replacement mechanical keys

hey guys i have a steelseries 6g and i like it but i want to get some new keys for it. I love the look of the red fps keycaps that corsair sell but was wondering if they would fit/work or not as it says some 3rd party keyboards can use them. Are key caps and their compatibility dependent on the type of switches you use or not? 

CPU: i5 4670k with Noctua C12P-SE14 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 SSD: 250gb Samsung EVO MOBO: MSI Z87-G43 RAM: 8GB G-Skill 1600mhz PSU: Antec HCG 620W CASE: Corsair 300R windowed

If you use Cherry MX switches, any Cherry MX keycaps will fit, the variant of the keys does not matter.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.
