Hard Disk Sentinel has an option for that

It's a random click sound that happens about every 5-10 sec... please help

Your drive sounds like it's dying. Replace it or at least back up anything you care about.

ok thanks for your response, is there any reason why it's like this. I just bought it. Seagate Barracuda 4tb

Could you record the noise it is making? Hard drives do make noise under normal operation, it's just a "click" that worries me.

It's quite possibly a normal operation sound, then. No problem!

Sounds normal to me. A few drive tools out there allow you to change the internal acoustic levels of the drive if supported. The head will move slower, and thus be quieter.
