So I've been using AMD's Ryzen Master software for overclocking and IT's GREAT!!! I haven't found anything else I like nearly as much...
So today, I added Windows Hyper-V, and Sandbox to my Windows 10 install.  Upon attempting to load Ryzen Master I get an error message stating that Ryzen Master won't work with Virtual Based Security enabled...

This is REALLY Frustrating..

So far, It looks like the answer is "If I want to use Ryzen master, I can't have Hyper-V installed, or if I want Hyper-V, I can't have Ryzen Master installed"!!!!

I'll update if I find a solution, however this is going to be my new work computer... I also do gaming at work when I'm bored, so Its built with a lot of gaming based hardware.. I also need Virtualization setup for running Linux and Mac OS Boxes on it..

Why couldn't AMD make it work??? I've NEVER Had issues like this with ANY Intel CPU!!! Now I'm starting to understand why the 2700X is cheaper than Intel's I9-9900K... (and slower too)

I'll let you all know what I find..

Hello friend.

Sadly I (like many other people who bought a Ryzen for more than just gaming, or simply having it there and not really make use of its features) am in the same boat.

Which indeed is very sad. It also looks as if they pulled that 1.2.0.540 version that worked for us from the web. I also am looking for it and cant find it anywhere. If you did find it in the end, (Given I am typing in a quite old thread), then I would appreciate if you could share it with me.

Even newer Ryzen master versions don't seem to add anything useful, if at all for the "older" CPUs. Only the newer Ryzen (3000 etc) processors benefit from new Ryzen master features. Seems as if they broke the app for us and then moved on never to look back again.

They don't seem to even give a convincing explanation as to why they chose to make it that way. (Which for me and maybe many users would have been almost enough to at least move forward and not feel screwed in this way)

I am a R7 1700 user and am forced to choose between virtualization features OR Ryzen Master software, which means I end up never using Ryzen Master.

It would be nice If I at least could use that older version (which was originally intended to be used precisely with my CPU) and it actually worked.

Regards

Paco Romero
