Hello. I just overclocked my 1700x to 4.0ghz and cranked the voltage to 1.380v. I'm running an Arctic Cooling Freezer 33 Esports One, and after 9 minutes of Aida64 stress test, i got this message(i will attach the pic). The max temp the cpu has reached is 82 degrees, and idle temps are 35-40 degrees. I need tips on what to do, should i reduce the oc, should i turn down the voltage or is this safe?

In my experience its more like that its the Memory, not the CPU. I have the 1800x and I would get this when my memory wasnt stable until I tweaked it manually.

I have two 8gb sticks of Kingston HyperX Fury that are overclocked to 3.2ghz with an xmp profile running at 1.3 volts.

Once you make sure your memory is stable, I would set the max vcore you are comfortable with. test,  then as long as your temps are ok lower the frequency as needed.  Once you find a stable frequency start to lower your vcore until you find where it crashes bump it back up slightly and you should be good to go.

mmmk, I know if I leave XMP alone I fail. I had to up my SOC voltage to 1.175v to get stable. If you up  your SOC voltage, just dont go above 1.2v. There is also a chance they may never work at 3200mhz and you may have to dial it back to like 3000 or 2933.

thank you both for help, i'm going to leave it as it is right now and if i experience some crashes while gaming or rendering or anything, im going to turn off my xmp profile and oc the ram manually, and if that doesnt help i will dial back the overclock on the cpu a bit.
