Hey guys, hoping someone can help shed light on this. My PC seems to take a long time to post and I’m not sure if it’s normal in this case or not! Once it hits the post screen (after ~23s) it boots just fine and runs like a dream. It’s a fairly new build and I’ve never had a machine take so long to come to life. It’s not a major issue, just wondering if that’s normal for this kind of system or if there’s anything I could do to speed things up a bit.

(I hit Record and Power on at the same time in the video)

Any input most appreciated.

seems to be just how X299 is, seems to take a long time to initialize the NVME or something, if you enable fastboot in the BIOS you could get it to go a little faster

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

OK, good to know it’s not a problem somewhere. Thanks!
