I've narrowed it down to  these two http://goo.gl/ZXuoeb

Are the extra features that come with the formula worth $100?

I've always  been somewhat hesitant to get a non RoG or even a non Asus mobo.

But now Im open to other manufacturers besides. Feel free to suggest something else if you think it would be as good or better than the two I've linked

The more expensive rog board you linked has more pci slots etc but i have always believed that rog boards are overkill and overpriced. I would recommend something like a gd45-65 or a gigabyte ud5h. Just dont waste alot of money on a motherboard you dont need because it will not perform any better, only spend more if you need the expandability and that for storage, sli configs etc.

I say stick with some top mid-range mobos, here a few:

UD3H, Extreme 4, Fatal1ty Killer, G45 and another 2 that I can't remember the names of off the top of my head.

Any motherboard, IMO, that is over $250 is just a waste. Some $280 mobos are really good but as I said, above $250 and the value goes down.
