Upgrade Time

So my friend has a PC and its pretty good. But he wants to upgrade but dose not know where to start. Heres some photos of the parts list as that list is long gone.

Crappy Laptop. I have a CPU meant for a tablet inside it.

What are his problems? Low fps?

He is not having any issues with the build. Except for the stock CPU thermal paste has kinda failed and his CPU is reaching hotter temps.

Then just replace it with another thermal paste, they don't cost much.

You don't upgrade something that doesn't need upgrading. Get new thermal paste.

He can spend 350 dollars and get a 2060 RTX.  His CPU will not be able to handle this video card.  He needs a complete makeover.  New CPU and mobo and all that jazz.

A Ryzen processor, more RAM,  an SSD and a new video card.

 

But that depends on the use case of this PC i.e. is it for gaming or a little of both gaming and non-gaming use.

 

Also, any particular reason why he wants to upgrade? If it's just for the sake of upgrading might as well save the money.
