Sketchy Taobao RX570?

Hey guys,

After watching Linus' latest video, I hopped onto taobao to see if there were any cards available for cheap. Sure enough, I found one. Link here

It is supposedly an XFX RX570 or 470 black wolf (黑狼)?

It seems like a good price at 350 yuan or USD 52. Is it worth it? It does seem a little worrying though as I have never bought anything from Taobao. Also, I'm not sure about the shipping rates to Singapore, which is where I live. Just to note, I won't use this as my primary card in my PC (I already have a Zotac 1070Ti AMP so there doesn't seem to be a point). If this is worth it then i would seriously consider buying it.

Also, I may lend the card to my friend for him to play CS-GO on his laptop. His is the ASUS X556UQ and is currently using a USB wifi adapter so there is a free Mini PCI-Express slot. My intention is to buy a PCIe X16 to Mini PCIe adapter and a power supply. But I have read that the slot is only x1. He currently has a 940m and a 6200u so will there be any performance gains when it is hooked up that way? Thanks.

the information is conflicting

the card is a normal xfx 470 as far as looks go

it's showing 2 different cards in the photos

neither seem to be 570's

I'm not sure...

If I google RX570 Black Wolf or Black Edition the one with the red fans does appear. even if it is a 470 is it still worth it?

Also, congrats on your Mi 8 :)

well... 52 bucks for a 470 isn't that bad... but I just don't want you to get some kind of a bios flashed 550 ti or something. It might be real with the wrong pictures, so i'm not sure. I never buy outside of retail.

not to use its official shipping options, they are ridiculously expensive.

from only 21 buyers, try getting a more reliable source, could be fine though I couldnt see a clear pic  of its.

also be aware of those flooded mining cards

Some reviews show the card achieving 28 MH/S which is almost on par with an actual RX570 and a 550Ti obviously wouldn't be able to achieve that kind of hashrate. Also, the TaoBao service I'm buying from does have a 14 day return service. So I guess I'm going to go for it :) Lastly, any idea on the PCIe X16 to X1 solution?

I do have a buying service which charges $1 ish for shipping. And the seller has around 355 sales on the P106 that it sells and 345 of them are good, so it should be reputable enough. Lastly, I dont really need the card to last. I will only occasionally use it or lend it to others.

I probably wouldn't game on it. Maybe would just use it for rendering. It might sound weird, but it would be the card is lend to my friends when they need it. Some of them use GTX 750s and such so yeah...

that doesn't sound that weird... rendering or folding is a nice workload for it. keep in mind if it's a actual mining card you'll have to do some sketchy stuff for it
