I need some confirmation

So I have an old windows 7 desktop that stoped working and all it dose now is beep when you plug it in. I’m thinking the thermal paste needs replacement but there looks to be a cable coming out of my hard drive that seems to come off it’s socket can anyone tell me where this might go.

The specs, model, and beep pattern would be helpful

Your HDD is plugged in fine, what's the beeping sound like?
