Currently building a Mini ITX ryzen system and Im wondering what ram to use as ive head that ryzen has some difficulty with it.
Using a 1300x at the moment on the strix x470i, and am going to upgrade my cpu once 3rd gen ryzen comes out.

For reference, Ive been eyeing this 3200 mhz kit, https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820331029&Description=3200 mhz&cm_re=3200_mhz-_-20-331-029-_-Product

are there any noticeable performance gains for ryzen going from 3000-3200?

You can find some videos on the matter but, TLDR: Heavily depends on the game but there isn't much difference between 3000 and 3200.

What you should be looking for is lower timings and latency.

i mean from 3000mhz to 3200mhz since its only a 25$ or so price increase

for me $25 cannot justify only 200mhz increase.

i can easily OC that if i want to.

Basically, the lower the better. Here's a pretty good article if you want to dive into it: https://www.hardwaresecrets.com/understanding-ram-timings/

Don't worry about getting the lowest latency sticks though because they tend to cost way more.

Just get a decent 3000MHz stick. You can always mess with the timings yourself and get them lower.

Hello I am looking at building a ryzen build a r5 1600 and a GTX 1070 on an Asus prime b350 atx board. I don't want to buy new ram but Asus doesn't have a listing on any of the viper elite ram. I have viper ddr4 ram on 2133mhz. If a part list is needed I will make on up. Thank you all.
