Setting up SASS for WordPress

Hi, Im using Prepros on a theme based off of the underscores (_s) bare bones theme for SASS, but I cant figure out how to bring in the sass settings to the theme. For example, in the sass folder for _s I have added a colour to posts-and-pages.scss , which itself is imported into style.scss (also found in the SASS folder), and then set the colour in my stle.css for an element which was previously set to a different colour .but i dont know how to reference the SASS file
