Just stress testing the lastest build, i5 6500 and 1060 3gb and getting weird temps. Unusally  low on most cores, as expected on core 1. Im used to seeing a few degress difference, upto 5 degress mainly, but 15 degrees difference between core 1 and 2  is weird. I dont believe core 2 maxed out at 35 degrees. Im only using an air cooler.

Any input?

It's not an S or T variant, just the regular i5 so not a low power variant but obviously not the  K either. It is running on a z170 board but Ive never seen this before even on T or S skus.  Im running aida64 now and core 2 is at 48 (still cool imo) but core 3 is at 33.....That's almost idle temps.  (Aida64 doesn't use core 0, it goes from 1-4 not 0-3)

maybe some of the cores are being used by something else so they don't get hammered as much? when you run Cinebench make sure all the cores are at less than 5%, closer to 0% is preferred

I was thinking along similar lines but that still doesn't explain thr unusually low temps.

I ran aida64 overnight and it still didn't even out the temps, but hey if it can pass a 12 hour stress test it can't be a big problem right?

temps are really low, so no it's not really a problem :) as long as you're getting the full performance of your 6500 then everything is okay.

make sure the Cinebench scores are along the lines of what everyone else is getting
