My story so far: PC bluescreened on boot (irql_not_less_or_equal) with artifacts on screen. Repeated booting yielded no result: BSOD when it got to windows login (irql_not_less_or_equal; memory_management; kernel_security_check_failure). After next few attempts, the PC would freeze whenever windows logo appeared when it tried to boot up. BIOS POST was fine. Launching in safe mode didn't help.
I though it was the last of my GPU, since it was old (~8 years), and got a new one (Asus 750ti 2gb). However, after installing the new GPU, there was still no video output.

At this point I have no clue what to do next.

Specs:
Q9500 @ stock
4gb ddr3
ASUS p5g41t mlx
GPU old: Inno 3d NVIDIA GT 440 1 GB
GPU new: ASUS NVIDIA GTX 750 ti 2 GB

Does iGPU work? (You might need to run DDU and clear the drivers)

No iGpu

Have you tried windows recovery? As in the USB stick/CD method.
It sounds like general windows drivers are missing.
Maybe a windows reinstall if possible?

Well...

For starters, i can't even get into BIOS right now. I have a windows recovery USB, and if that's not detected i have an ISO image burned onto a DVD

Try minimal booting, Only CPU, One stick of ram and GPU.
Reseat GPU and ram also.

Done that, no change.

While doing that, however, i noticed that one of the capacitors on the mobo is blown.

So that might be the issue all along

(pic related, blown capacitor is in the middle of the photo)

That does sound like an issue, Maybe time for an upgrade?
Or of course you could try to repair it.

It could also be a power supply issue?

PSU is fine (i hope). Will carry the whole system tomorrow to a guy that specializes in electronics repair, maybe he can solve the issue

Yes, it would be a great time for an upgrade. However, that's not my system.

Anyway, thanks for advice. Will update on the situation
