New AMD Build!

Well it's been a long time since I've build a custom PC but I'm happy now to have built a new one. The last gaming PC I had I ended up trading it for a 2016 Late MacBook Pro Touch Bar. Love it and happy with that trade overall. I definitely got the better end of the deal. This time, I decided I wanted to go with Ryzen this time. The price to performance is unbeatable right now with AMD. (Back when I had a FX6350 it was imo worth upgrading from it to a Intel i5 processor as the gains were very well noticable.)

 

So here's a list of the parts, I got the last of the important ones I needed today and built the computer. Some more odds and ends will be coming in. Also I won't focus on cable management on the desk until I finally get everything complete to where I want it. (Probably will be about a week or so before I get the last pieces of the puzzle.)

 

Case: Corsair Carbide 275r in white

Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming B450M-Plus

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600

Storage: Crucial M.2 250GB

RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16GB 3000mhz kit in grey

PSU: Corsair CX650M

GPU: MSI RX580 Armor

KB: Red Dragon Kumara in white

Mouse: Red Dragon Perdition MMO Gaming in white

 

I was going for as much of a white build with adding black and purple for contrast. Overall VERY happy with how it came out. Future plans will be to upgrade the MB, CPU and Ram once Zen2 releases. (Probably still won't do it immediately but it is a plan. I will also likely go back to NVIDIA for higher end gaming unless I can see something better from AMD beyond the 590.)

 

I will also be updating this particular build as I change things out. The Zen2 build will end up likely become it's own build. I will also be adding a SSD and HDD, along with some more fans and other minor things here and there.

Yeah I will be getting a riser cable so I can mount it vertically. It's bugging me big time sagging like that.

Just did a ryzen 2600 build too, with a 1060 3 gb, and loving it so far 

Maybe i'll try a new i3 next ;) 

Thanks! So far it's been very quiet. Haven't heard the fan at all yet, but I haven't done anything intensive with it yet.
