Shrinking that Footprint

Quick background, I have a nexus 6 that I use as a remote control for my network and "chair tablet". Whilst it has a sim, it's never active unless I have to travel unexpectedly.

I've been running through the apps and removing/disabling things that are redundant to me (fitness/news/google play etc)

 

Any other suggestions of strings to google that can be cut and reduce their ability to slurp.

Replacement app suggestions welcome.

 

If there is a drop in replacement for the whole OS I'd be open to that too.
