New Computer Freezing, Please Help :(

Hey guys! My name is Jake, i'm brand new to here and community forums in general. Any and all help is genuinely appreciated. Anyways, my Gaming PC recently came into an issue; While playing Skyrim, my computer will randomly Hard freeze. By this, i mean the screen freezes, and my bluetooth connectivity to my controller will get cut as well. Though, every time the freeze happens, the audio will stay in-tact. Sometimes, the freeze will last only a few seconds, and then everything goes back to normal. Other times, the freeze will not go away, & when this happens, i am able to "ctrl-alt-delete" to the option to click on task manager, but i get zero mouse movement, and a loud beeping begins to occur. at that point, the only way to turn off the PC is to reset. specs are as follows..

-Intel i5 8600k

-MSI Z370 Gaming Carbon Pro AC

-32GB Corsair Venegance pro RGB ddr4 3000

-Asus Strix 10180ti OC Edition

-512GB Samsung 970 Evo, 240Gb PNY SSD, 2TB Seagate barracuda

-650W Seasonic Focus 80+ Gold

-Windows 10 Home

-Corsair h110i or 115i, (240mm Liquid cooling AIO)

I should note, i am using iCUE & Aura Sync software to disable the RGB on my components at all times. Also, the freezes are occuring at STOCK frequencies. I did have an overclock on my processor and GPU, but have since reduced both to stock, and Disabled XMP. *weird thing; my CPU runs at 4.2 GHz, even though its at stock settings in bios. what the hell?

All hardware is new EXCEPT the GPU.

Does it only happen when playing Skyrim, or does it happen in other games as well? Could be an issue with Skyrim and not your PC.

That's normal. Your CPU has turbo boost up to 4.3ghz.

appreciate your quick response brother! will test that as soon as im off work. quick note, this issue actually was happening right after i finished the build, during PUBG matches, though removing some RGB software seemed to fix it, until now.

Sounds like an issue I've had before. In my case, it'd freeze for, like, maybe a minute or two. Try replacing the batteries in the gamepad with fresh ones and make sure it's not too far away from/too many obstacles between the Bluetooth dongle.

Though, if this is the bug I'm thinking about, then it should have been fixed by a Windows patch a looong time ago.

I'm pretty sure it's the motherboard. Try to Update BIOS/Clear CMOS

CMOS cleared, then M-Flashed the bios. previous version was from dec 2017. Also, the DRAM voltage shifted from 1.4v to 1.2. ill update on if the freezing persists..

Ok.. so about 5 minutes into the game, everything basically just started to destabilize.. GPU and CPU usages fluctuated violently, while frame rate dropped to 1-4 FPS from a stable 60 FPS. audio was still in tact, and it did this for 20 seconds before i went to task manager, and this time could successfully just close the application(skyrim). any thoughts?
