Hey guys! So i'm tired of a person with no camera.Yea, it's actually me. I have no camera. I use either my phone or a webcam to shoot pics. So, i have finally decided to buy a camera. I would also make videos, so confused between camcorder and a camera.I would also use it on trips or to take some photos or whatever that kind of stuff. So, i have two questions:

#1-Which would be better for my needs? Camera or Camcorder? (I will click photos as well as shoot videos)

#2-What would be the best Cam/Camcorder with or within 100$.

And, is 20.1 MP really needed?

And, most important thing is it should be able to work in my old computer. Since i have many many many photos in it, I want to be able to export it in my cam through usb cable. My mobo is MSI G31TM-P21

P.S I will be using this site to buy and by 100 US $, I mean, any camera/camcorder under 6000 rupees.

Thanks :).

I would recommend the camera, and no 20.1MP is not really neccesary. I'm a Canon boy so I'd say go with a Powershot A-series or a ELPH 115 on Amazon.

You can take good photos at almost any resolution so I'd say to get into photography I'd go with no less than 8.

Word of an advice: if you're stuck with choosing between a camera and a camcorder, unless you're almost solely shooting videos, forget camcorders entirely.

And no, 20,1 MP isn't necessary. About 12 MP is enough for most things.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.
