Antec A30 with FM2+ Socket

Is it supposed to feel like I'm almost crushing the CPU while installing it? Attached are pictures of the cooler resting on the CPU without the clips attached and it is very hard to put them on and it feels like I'm about to crush it. Mobo is gigabyte f2a88xm-ds2 with fm2+ socket.

(Yes I know it's dusty)
