Triple monitors setup??

Hi guys,

I'm new here, sorry if i post on the wrong topic, and also sorry for my bad english.

I plan to build PC with 3 monitors 23" IPS. with 2 VGA HIS R9 290x (http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-772.shtml). 2 mini-displayport, 1 hdmi, 1DVI

but because of my budget I'll buy 2 monitors and 1 VGA first. later next month i'll buy the rest

what i would like to ask are:

first, if i buy built-in speaker monitors can i use it for conference video call that audio comes from specific monitor depend on where the video shown? also can i configure it so it can be surround while i play games that use 3 monitors like COD,BF3,farcry?

second, is Asus VX239H - 23" LED IPS (http://www.asus.com/Monitors_Projectors/VX239H/) have good criteria for my first question? or do you guys have something else in mind?

because when i look at the design of the monitor. the speakers are in right and left side of the monitor that what i think would be bad if i use 3 side by side. or should i buy monitor that doesn't have built in speaker and buy surround speaker (i already have headset 7.1 for gaming only). i use speaker for anything else like watch movies or youtube, listen music.

thanks in advance guys. i hope you can help me with this.

I think if you have the monitors set up as three separate monitors, not in surround then audio should come through the one that has the video on (I could be wrong). If you're using surround speakers, it will not matter what monitor it is on.

I would get a different monitor to those as they don't have Displayport or DVI in.

To play games in surround, you'd have to change settings in software to register the three monitors as one. You may be able to create a shortcut to enable or disable eyefinity, but I'm not too sure how it works with AMD as I've only ever used surround.

No, he would just have to plug one in the green audio jack and the other one in the other colors

So the monitor doesn't have any audio ? Is he seriously asking this then?

I was saying that the monitors will have audio without using audio jacks if he's using displayport and HDMI. If he's using speakers, then just plugging them into the motherboards audio jacks will have audio for everything, regardless of what display it is on.

I wasn't too sure on how the audio would be setup, so I was more answering his other question.

Monitors with speakers are fine, but the speaker will be really crappy. I have three monitors and would definitely recommend it!

wow i didn't expect so many people reply this, but thank for answering.  :o

yes bloodvalley i only want to use mini displayport or hdmi for built-in speaker monitors. not using the 3.5mm green audio jacks.

i do have Headset 7.1

if it not possible to have surround from 3 built-in monitors i think i'll just use standard speaker. because actually surround speaker is not really necessary for me.

i just think if it possible than i'll buy built-in monitor if not just monitor without it and buy standard speaker will do  :)
