What do you guys think, its pretty old. Is it better to upgrade or just build from 0. I play alot of Battle royale like Pubg or Black out black ops 4 and its hard to get above 60 fps with low settings.

For a new build i would to balance a pc around a new RTX 2070. or upgrade.

Thx

So what's your current PC's specs?

Why do you want to upgrade? What's your budget for the upgrade?

If you don't want to upgrade, what's your budget for the new build?

Upgrade your GPU to RX480, 580 or GTX1060.

The whole system is still good, but you cannot expect 1050ti to perform higher than 60fps, even in newer systems.

If you want to get a 2070 anyway, test it out first, and see if it Works for you.

I bought a 1080Ti, one of the most factory overclocked ones, and put it With my 3770K which wouldn't overclock, and changed it out With a Ryzen 1800X, and it wasn't much of a difference in gaming. My other system I had With a 3820 wasn't working that good anymore, so i used the 1800x there instead, and swithed the gaming CPU out With a 8700K (I couldn't find a motherboard for Intel that satisfyed my needs for that machine, so the Ryzen mobo had what I needed, so I switched Things up). That did some got the FPS up alittle, but noth enough to justify the cost from the 3770K. I think Your 4570K is somewhere around that in Power.

It really hasn't happened alot on the CPU front in the last few years. So at least wait to see what Intel brings out Next time. If gaming is priority nr 1, Intel is still the right Choice, everything else is cheaper and just as good With AMD

Sorry for the few off Capital letters in my posts, it does it on its own when I Write in English, since my OS is in another Language. It's annoying.

The whole system looks fairly good. I agree all you really need is a better GPU. I would recommend the 1060 if you need to upgrade right now. If not I would wait to upgrade until the 2060 comes out. I also would recommend to upgrade the processor, it is a great CPU for the age, and if your budget doesn't allow it you can keep it. But if you are able to get a new motherboard, ram, and CPU, I would do it. I would recommend these parts; https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i5-8400-Desktop-Processor-Cores/dp/B07KNKWQKR/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1546455840&sr=8-2&keywords=i5%2B8400&th=1 (comes with 16gb RAM! which is very important for modern AAA games) https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-B360M-DS3H-LGA1151-Motherboard/dp/B07BQ9SSH7/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1546456166&sr=8-1&keywords=micro+atx+i5+8600k+motherboard. This board should fit your current case and will support the processor and RAM. Don't feel pressured to upgrade the CPU, RAM, and motherboard, just the GPU is all you really need. But this upgrade would give you a great rig that will last longer than what you have.

Hey dodo 92,

I generally agree with what has been said here, just 1 thing though. I switched to a 1440p monitor recently and now im really happy I went with the 1070 instead of 1060. cuz my experience would have been a little „put down“ as the 1060 wouldnt be able to push that 1440p monitor like the 1070 does. If you can find a good 1070 deal Id go for that and not buy ram instead.

Edit: even if the 1070 cant unfurl its complete potential in this particular rig, later on when u upgrade the rest, it might come in handy that u went with it and that could save u from having to upgrade gpus too often.

@Dodo_92 I would 110% go with the 1070 over the 1060 but we aren't exactly sure how it will perform against the RTX 2060. If you care about the GPU lasting longer and real time ray-tracing I would wait to see the cost and performance difference. Based on the cost of the 2070, we could assume the 2060 will be placed in the price range of the 1070 and perform better. I think that because the RTX 2070 performs similar or better than the 1080ti. But your upgrade is in an odd position due to Nvidia bringing a new architecture to the market, and the 10-series becoming "outdated". This page compares some leaked 2060 info to some other graphics cards discussed on this sub-forum. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-geforce-rtx-2060-price-availability-benchmarks,38305.html. It is supposed to be formally announced on the 7th and be in stores the 15th of this month. Long story short, wait until the next gen cards are launched. Even if they don't perform well for the price, the price of current cards likely would drop.
