Upgrade?

Recently I got a new video card, and since then Games lag. Online or just a regular game. Was wondering if my processor is my issue. Specs will be listed below. If possible leave a suggestion? 

 

Motherboard: ASUS 970 Pro gaming Aura

Processor: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.0 GHz

Ram 16 GB

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB (bought from NVIDIA, not 3rd party)

Yes, it could very well be your CPU choking.

yes, the FX series was obsolete when it came out, it was bottlenecking cards from the same year, so can't imagine how much it would bottleneck a GTX 1070
