my system is already watercooled so adding a gpu block can't bee that hard. and i dont think that the paste is so bad since the card is only 2 years old?

Hello! My GTX 1080 is running very hot, too hot for my liking and im thinking about getting a waterblock for it. Any suggestions on what to get? is EKWB the way to go or should i look elsewhere?

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc1080-gtx-tf6-nickel would this work?

As mentioned try going with the easiest route first to see if it's just bad thermal paste, but if you want to get similar cooling results to a custom loop but without the extra work and AIO and GPU bracket would be the way to go.

Sorry for not mentioning but the system already has a custom cpu loop so adding a gpu block would not be that difficult

my laptop's paste is bad from day 2, and my graphics card (in the desktop) is only ok from the start and a repaste dropped another 6 degrees Celsius (and it's Chinese made 7783 paste, which is quite bad in the first place).

In that case as long as your specific model and variate of the card is compatible with the block would work, all you would require is a set of extra fittings for the GPU.

I guess putting a waterblock on voids the warranty?

Depends on the manufacture some will not accept the card once the original cooler has been removed but others such as EVGA will accept a warranty as long as it has been returned to original condition. Best to check with them to see what their policy is.

alrighty! but based on what i could gather the block i linked in the first post should work with the card! so i might be getting one depending on the warranty and how their policy is!
