So I have a 2009 Mac Pro which has started developing some strange graphics issues recently but only in Chrome

I am now no longer able to watch any videos or GIFs in Twitter, but YouTube and FP are fine, I also keep getting strange things like the scroll bar on the side turning black.

Google Maps is also completely unusable now, with everything just keep flashing between black and parts of the map

But I am able to use Safari fine with no issue so I don't think it's a hardware problem

I tried forcing hardware acceleration on in Chrome and it just made every website unusable so I don't know what to do. Is there anything else in Chrome I can change?

Are you running macOS 10.14 by any chance?

I am not, I still haven't got round to changing out the GT 120 so I can't update yet.

I'm still on 10.13.6

Ah.

It might just be a hardware acceleration thing; I'm assuming MP4 videos are giving you trouble here (that's how Twitter encodes its gifs, just to note). If you can, just disable hardware acceleration in the Chrome settings.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

Just gave that a try and I'm still having the same issue
