Shadow waiting peeiod

I got Shadow and I saw that there is a 10 day waiting period for your system activation. I then got an email saying that they were building my system but it seems like that shouldn't take more than a few hours. Can anyone explain how this system kind of works? Why is the wait time so long?

If anyone can build a complete computer system in no more than a few hours, good for them.  But usually it will take some time to build a complete system because not only do you have to get the correct parts, then you have to put it all together.  But putting a system together parts wise is only half the problem.  Don't forget, got to download/install the operating system, download/install all the updates to the operating system, and got to download/install all the drivers for the hardware in the system.  Of course, it will never immediately work right so one all the above is complete, you still have to trouble shoot the thing to get it going without any bugs.  Then you have to download/install any software that you may want.  Putting a complete system together never just takes a few hours.
