Previous Windows update installation question

Going from 1803 to 1809 has killed a couple of applications I use frequently. Is there a way to acquire the 1803 update (legally) and roll my 1809 system back to it?

I have product and id keys for my system, I would hope Microsoft would just allow us to download and install previous builds if we wanted.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Give this a try:

You only have 10 days after the update so, if you just recently updated then, do it asap.

What applications? Did you try uninstalling them, and re-installing them again?

If they are legacy program did you try compatibility mode?

Well I'm pretty sure it's been longer than 10 days. Will any of those methods work?

They're simple game modding applications that for whatever reason are dependant on a specific version of Windows to run and need updating by a very small community of devs to make them constantly usable after every Windows update. It's not a legacy thing.

If it's been more then 10 days then, I think you are out of luck.

I have a USB stick that has the 1803 installer on it but, I used the  WindowsMediaCreator to make it so, I'm not sure if it would be possible for you to copy and paste it onto your own drive.

The best alternative I can give you is this site: WindowsISO

They have legit Windows ISOs but, seems like the latest Win 10 is the 1709 update so, You'd be rolling back quite a lot.

Darn... that sucks.

Why would yours using Media Creator be a problem? Aren't all 64-bit installers the same? They aren't system specific are they?

I've got a laptop still on 1803. Can I do anything with that? Make an ISO from it or something?

Well, it looks like this on the stick:

Spoiler

If it's possible to just copy that on a different drive and use it then, I'll pack it up and upload it for ya if you want it.

Otherwise, you can use the ones from WindowsISO.

Oh also, I should add that mine is a Hungarian installer. Which means that if you were to use mine you wouldn't have Cortana at all so if you use Cortana then get one from WindowsISO.

Other than that, there shouldn't be any other difference.

I have, actually, a USB drive for installing Windows on a USB stick that I made earlier this year. How do I find out what version I made it with?
