HI

I built in a corsair 500D obsidian and used a asus strix z390 e MOBO. I didn't add any standoffs. I have no issues but now that i think about it i feel like i should have even though i dont really remember seeing a bag of them. Should i pull the board out and add some? Or if i have no problems just leave it? thanks you .

If there's no bag of them, they're likely pre-installed. Otherwise, I doubt the system would even boot.

Is the board elevated off the case?

it is. I think there was 1 pre installed by the cpu socket. I jus tlooked and found a bag with 4 in it. As much as i dont want to do it i may pull the board out and install those 4 in the corners. I have a new GPU coming may just do it when that comes.

Make sure you have only the standoffs you need. Line them up with the holes in the motherboard and remove any extra.

It's definitely advisable. They're pretty important for structural integrity and prevents the board from shorting out against the case.
