Have you or anyone you know gotten infected with it? What happened?

I don´t know anyone that had it, but if you are interested how it works, It basically crypt all of your data and then you have a time limit for paying them for key to unlock those files. And Its almost impossible to uncrypt, because It would take insane amout of time. So yeah, you paid them and hopefully get your data back or not pay them and you are screwed. Even Massachusetts police department had to pay them - http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2013/nov/21/us-police-force-pay-bitcoin-ransom-in-cryptolocker-malware-scam

Have had a few come in to the shop.

Basically it takes over the desktop with a message.

It adds a very beefy encryption to files, images and misc files.

If you pay, it does get removed. But otherwise you're 100% screwed for those files.

The infection is easy to remove but the damage left behind is not fixable.
