So I went mental and decided to get all new speakers and then even decided to try out a sound card, since there is some rumors it will actually enhance the experience...

However, sitting here with a Logitech Z623 2.1, and the Creative Sound BlasterX AE-5, and currently playing PUBG

Also installed the Sound Blaster Connect to modify sound properties

Anyhow... Tried some settings no matter what I just feel like the sound is coming out under the water so to say, its really not enjoyable to listen to and the music feels extremly directed and "enclosed" somehow

What magic setting is there to set to make this be as "WOW" as people has described?

I used the Z390 sound before, with a very basic Trust speaker setup and actually... prefer that as of right now

So I hope someone has the magic setting I have forgotten to make this better

1. Logitech plastic speakers, even with "subwoofer", will give you plastic sound. Do not expect miracles. If you want to have better sound quality, buy stereo speakers for the same price, so your money will go for quality in all ranges, not only for sub. Even cheap Edifiers 2.0 can play bette than plastic Logitech 2.1.

2. Disable all enhancers, boosters etc. Decrease bass and increase volume - that may help. You must get used to listen natural sound. Most of people wants more "everything", boost everything etc. It's not the way. If you want to boost everything, decrease bass boost, treble boost etc. and increase volume. And listen for 10-20 minutes until you get used to more natural sound.

3. Sound card - you would hear the difference if you had good quality amplifier and speakers. Cost of decent speakers (two) is about 500$ (example), cost of decent amplifier - at least 200$ (example or example).

That is the magic - the better hardware (sound card, speakers, amplifiers) the less need to boost everything. And better sound.

The odd thing is that some sounds seems to have dissapeared totally

For one, the "pickup" sound in Minecraft is gone

And the vocal voice in BF V is gone too, after I changed to the soundcard and the speakers

Seems like my setup doesnt react to some sounds

With my setup should I set it to Stereo or 5.1 in Windows settings?
