New Cpu Water Cooling System Not Working Properly

I double checked the retention bracket. It's fine. Alright so I've got two wires thag come from my cpu block. One is the splitter thag connects the fans. I just moved that to sysfan1 the other just goes right into cpufan. I just turned my pc on again. Went to bios and still 85c. I have two fan speeds or whatever. Cpu 1 and system 1. Cpu 1 controls nothing?And system 1 controls the radiator fans.

Don’t use the splitter, connect the pump directly to the mobo. Use the splitter on the two fans and connect them to the mobo on the other header. And if you have the slack, flip the orientation of the radiator. So the hoses are at the bottom. 

Some aio’s have air trapped on them and this would keep it away from the pump.

My one wire goes right into the cpufan slot. My other wire from the cpu block is a cord that leads to the 3 way splitter. That's it. I can't plug those into my mobo. My splitter has this. The cord from my cpublock. Rgb stuff. And then last is from the radiator/fans stuff

Yea I’m not talking about the rbg. The two fans should be connected via the splitter and into the board as well. 

 

But non of that matters if the cpu is that hot at idle. It clearly isn’t making proper contact with the cold plate. 

 

Can  you take the pump off and get a pic of the cpu with the paste on it?

Mine is a bad example but it needs to look something like this. 

 

So the retention system isn’t set up right. Need to go over everything.

Judging by the marks the cpu is leaving behind, you make have too little paste. You can try it again with more and see how it goes. If you have enough to spare.

Did you pull the cooler off to check the spread? Does it feel loose?

Prolly a pump issue then. Turn it to max and see if you can feel the vibration difference. 

 

Id flip the radiator around the other way first.

Hold it in your had, mount it up top perhaps. Just as a test. 

 

But I’d check the pump rpm and ensure it actually changes 

 

only thing it could be if the cold plate is making good contact now.

Well when you had it plugged into the system 2 header, the pic you showed said it was disconnected in the software. 

So what is the lowest rpm it shows and what can you turn it up to? On what ever header you have the pump plugged into now?

I'll check the rpm tomorrow. I have one cord from the cpu block going to cpufan. The fans going to sysfan1

Nope. There is either a standoff or mounting issue or you aren't doing it correctly.
